Welcome to Zion's Church Family

Erica and JimmyErica and Jimmy Barilla joined our Church Family on Sunday, June 22 at the 10:30am service.

Erica and Jimmy have been visiting us over the past couple of months and decided to make Zion their church home.

They reside in Rahway with their two dogs, Boxers named Valentino and Jayda.  They have two sons, Jim, 21 who is attending Penn. State and Ryan, 19 who is attending Mortuary School.

Erica works as a Quality Assurance Manager for Actavis in Elizabeth, New Jersey.  She plays the piano and the organ for her own enjoyment as well as playing for various churches.  She is currently studying for her Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Engineering.  In her free time, she enjoys scrap booking and visiting family in Pennsylvania.

Jimmy is a former Warehouse Supervisor for Bradley Caldwell, Inc.  He enjoys football, gardening and traveling.  He also enjoys visiting family in Pennsylvania.

They are looking forward to being part of our Zion’s Church Family and we are very happy to have them with us.

God bless you, Erica and Jimmy and welcome to Zion.

Keri GoldenZion’s Newest Voting Member

Confirmand, Keri Golden was confirmed on Sunday, May 11, 2008 at the 10:30am Worship Service.

Keri enjoys coming to worship as she attends regularly with her grandparents, Therese and Yogi Bera.  She is excited about being an adult member of our Zion church family and will continue in her role as one of our worship assistants.  Keri will also be taking on some additional responsibilities. As an adult member of Zion she will be a student teacher starting in September assisting Anita Waldron with her Sunday school class and will also be a member of the Intern Committee.  Keri also participates in various activities with ZYG (Zion’s Youth Group).  She also participates and helps with various Zion events regularly.

Being in our confirmation program over the past 3 years was a wonderful experience for Keri and although she miss it very much, she is looking forward to taking on her new roles and responsibilities as an adult member of Zion.

Keri will be a freshman at Rahway High School in the fall.  Her favorite subject is American History and she enjoys playing volleyball, listening to music and spending time with her friends.

We are all so proud of you and we welcome you as our newest adult member at Zion.

Congratulations and God Bless You.

JustinJustin Racey joined our Church Family at the Easter Vigil, March 22, 2008 through the rite of Holy Baptism. Justin is the cousin of Therese Bera. He started visiting our Confirmation Class in the fall of last year along with his cousins Keri and Kyle Golden. He liked it so much that he kept coming back every week and has been a wonderful addition to the group.

Justin has been attending worship regularly and when he asked Pastor if he could be baptized, we were all thrilled about it. He wanted to be part of Zion’s church family and we welcomed him with open arms. He is making many new friends at Zion and has been participating in various events, activities and meetings with Zion’s Youth Group (ZYG). Justin is happy to be a part of Zion’s church family and is looking forward to continuing with his Christian education in our Confirmation program.

Justin attends Rahway High School and his favorite subject is History. He likes to play football, baseball and soccer and in his other free time, he enjoys video games. He is the youngest of 4 children. He has a brother, Robert who is a police officer, a sister Kristel, and a brother Jason. His plans for the future are join the Navy and to also become a police officer.

Justin has a wonderful sense of humor and we really enjoy having him with us. He is excited about his new membership with Zion and we could not be happier to welcome him with open arms into our church family at Zion.

Welcome Justin, and God Bless you.
